RIVERS APC CONGRESS: Court Fixes Date For Judgement


High Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Wednesday adjourned for judgment on the matter involving one IBRAHIM UMAR, 21 others against the All Progressive Congress

Earlier, the court had joined 19 persons who sought to be joined as interested party in the suit after lawyer to the All Progressive Congress drew the attention of the judge on discovering names of dead persons in the list with Ibrahim Umar.

Lawyer to the supporters of Magnus Abe; Ibrahim Umar and others, Barr. Bello had sought for more time on the issue of dead persons raised by the counsel to the APC, which was initially granted.

The list of Ibrahim Umar and 21 others was later adjusted to 19 persons, striking out the names of dead persons in the list.

The matter was again mentioned in court today with both counsels present in court.

Thereafter, the parties argued their matter, adopted all written addresses before the presiding judge, Justice G. O. Ollor gave adjournment date.

The matter is expected to come up on 18th of December, 2019, for judgement.

True Blue Reporters recall that the NWC of the APC had fixed a date for the conduct of  the party congress in Rivers State, in which Senator Magnus Abe and the faction loyal to him disagreed and approached the court, leading to the halt of the Rivers State APC Congress months ago.
