Rivers State: Teachers Ask Students To Go Home Over Covid-19, Closes Schools

Secondary School Students who turned up for normal school activities where asked to go back home by teachers who reported to work on Monday in Rivers State.

The Rivers State government had re-echoed the directive by Federal Government for public and private schools to close down due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.

True Blue Reporters visited most of the secondary schools in Rivers State, as students where seen all over the streets returning to their houses.

Some of the teachers explained that, though the schools have not recorded report of Covid-19 outbreak, it is better to obey government directive as a way of curbing the spread of the virus.

Government owned universities where not also left out as activities in the campuses were at its low level.
