PICTURE OF THE YEAR.

Heroes represent the best of ourselves, respecting that we are human beings. A hero can be anyone from Gandhi to your classroom teacher, anyone who can show courage when faced with a problem. A hero is someone who is willing to help others in his or her best capacity.

Freed Boko Haram Captives

The pictures of persons freed by the Nigerian Army troops is not just touching but fellow feeling. It is said, that a good man can be to another as well as the evil a man can do to another. The purgatory and agony felt by these persons in captivity is worse than hell.

Their physiognomy and lineament depicts those who had lost hope; until troops freed them from the hands of their captors.

Freed Boko Haram Captives

Imagine, an octogenarian kidnapped by violent members of a Boko Haram sect, taken far away from home by terrorists, for days, weeks. Imagine, the sufferings of these children and women in captivity without food and proper rest; far from love , friends and family. Imagine what would be running through their mind: death? People home and how disturbed they would be by the sudden disappearance? Kudos to the men of the Nigerian Army for this show of love, courage and determination to flush these devils otherwise known as members of Boko Haram.
