St John’s Anglican Church Ndele: Arch Bishop Enyindah Commissions New Storey Building Vicarage, Lock-Ups Stores, Women Kitchen

St John’s Anglican Church Ndele on Sunday 10th September 2023 welcomed the Dean, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, ArchBishop Ecclesiastical Province of Niger Delta and Bishop Diocese of Ikwerre; His Grace the most Rev’d Dr Blessing Chinyere Enyindah to the community

The Bishop’s visit was for the dedication and commissioning of a new Vicarage, a four rooms lock up stores, new building of women kitchen. Also for the confirmation, admission and induction of about 25 persons

True Blue Reporters reports that the ArchBishop who took his sermon from the bible book of Isaiah 65:21-25 charged the church to continue in their good works towards the building of the body of Christ, as every work has its reward and spiritual implications.

Before the commencement of church service proper, the Archbishop had commissioned a four lock-up stores build and handed over to the church by Emeka Worluh and family in commemoration with his 50th Birthday

ArchBishop Enyindah and the church then proceeded to the dedication and commissioning of the New Vicarage built by the people of St John’s Anglican church Ndele and later proceeded to commissioning the Women Kitchen in the church premises built by Jack Omodu and a mini health facility put together by the CMF of the church

The Vicar in charge, Venerable Chris Idika explained that despite that he inherited about two million, two hundred thousand naira as debt owed to the diocese by previous administration of the church which was later cleared by efforts as he took over, the church achievements made in the church within four year also include;

Renovation of the Church Altar by Lady Queeneth Worluh, rehabilitation of church organ, rehabilitation of church digital bell and projector, rehabilitation of church bus, development of choir and music in the church, instituted revolving soft loan scheme for members in partnership with U & C Bank, initiated Jesus Bread to first 80 persons that comes to church for Sunday service, a self contained security house, electrically powered sign post built by Mrs Gloria Alete-Omoni.

Sir Lucky Ugochukwu Worluh, the chairman of the building dedication and planning commission in his speech admonished the church to continue in their love for God and development of the church.

According to Lucky Worluh, “We cannot be in a modern church and the pastor will be staying in ancient building”

He further reminded anyone in position of authority on the need to attract development and called for the remembrance of Ndele community in every ramifications towards the development of the community.

Mrs Ebere Dorothy Dennis-Emenike, permanent secretary ministry of works, Rivers State was also honoured with an award and celebrated for attaining such enviable height in public service.

Dr. Jack Ovunda Omodu the alternate chairman while reading the citation of Mrs Ebere pointed out that she is a devout christian and a deaconess, as she is blessed with a son.

The royal mother of the day was Dame Victoria Sergeant Awuse and the royal fathers of the day were HRH Eze Hon. Damian A. Ejiohuo, Ne Nwe Eli Rundele XII Eze Rundele N’Ogbo II in Council and Sir Eze G. A. O Omodu JP, paramount ruler of Mgbuolua Rundele.

Sir Engr. Vincent Worluh was there as chairman of building committee While the chairman of the occasion was Mr Chibuike Christian-Eze and Dr. Promise Omuruka Okagwa as the special guest of honour, with other dignitaries present
