Pastor Michael Praise Chibuike Allison, the presiding pastor of Flaming Glory Assembly in Port Harcourt on Sunday in a live church service explained to the congregation on How To Know Your Pastor

According to him, “Your pastor, priest or prophet could be your relative, friend, colleague, etc, but his virtue does not understand relationship” he stated

He cautioned against joining to gossip or speak ill of your pastor irrespective of circumstances, citing some instances and implications of such in the scripture like it was with Mariam & Aaron, Elisha & those who laughed at him, etc. He rather encouraged that people stand up in caring for pastors, checking up on them and knowing more about their welfare

He revealed that many times pastors are lonely despite the large congregation of members, that they’re humans too outside the office they occupy. Hence, the need to always find out how it’s going with them

He explained that in knowing your pastor it is important to note,

• How you behave towards your pastor matters

• That the things you say and respond are all products of your knowledge

• Your relationship and comments

• Know where he likes and dislikes

• Know his dos and don’t

• Know his passion, know his pain

• Know his calling and mandate

• Know when he’s strong and when he’s weak
