Supervisors who served for the 2023 West African Examination Council, WAEC are still yet to be paid many months after engagement and seem to have been kept in the dark on why they are still unable to receive payment for the 2023 WAEC Supervision
While many of supervisors have continued to cry out for their payment, others keeps calling on Waec to do well and explain the reason behind the delay in their supervision pay
Supervisors who spoke with True Blue Reporters across WAEC zones in Rivers State and Bayelsa specifically pointed out that for years of participation they have not seen such delay in payment of supervisors after examination like this and that this length of delay remains very surprising
Some identified lack of communication by WAEC as the major setback faced by the supervisors as they are not even very sure of when to get paid, rather they have relied on speculations and rumours of payment. They claimed that statement from WAEC on why the delay will encourage them and keep hope alive at least
Also, a stroll by our reporter to WAEC office at Abacha Road, Port Harcourt revealed that even the officials are scared of commenting on the matter, as few who spoke with us in anonymity expressed surprise that the supervisors are yet to be paid as at the time of filing this report
They revealed that all details of those who genuinely participated in the supervision have been submitted to the appropriate quarters long ago with hope that payment should have commenced earlier
Are the supervisors meant to log an official complain in writing to WAEC, demanding to know why they are still yet to receive their payments? Should the supervisors team up to a peaceful protest as a means of drawing to attention of authorities in charge? When will the supervisors payment finally come considering that another WAEC registration is by the corner? These questions remained unanswered

More devastating is the fact that the supervisors who were engaged for the NECO examination which came after WAEC examination have all been paid their money while the date of payment for that of WAEC supervisors remains unknown to them aside speculation and expectations
