The executive governor of Rivers State, Barr Nyesom Wike has blatantly told the President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu things he should do for Rivers State as pay back for the support and votes from Rivers State.
Governor Wike stated that Rivers State is in dare need of Federal projects which according to him, the Buhari government failed to attract to the state, expressing hope that the incoming administration will not forget Rivers State and Rivers people.
Wike demanded that his administration had carried out several flyover projects on federal roads and pleaded with Bola Tinubu to consider outright refund of the funds to the government of Rivers State immediately he is sworn in on May 29 2023.

Wike revealed that the first demand the incoming governor of Rivers State Sim Fubara will present in an already written letter to the Bola Tinubu led administration is a plea for refund, as he pleaded with the President-elect to give assent.
Wike further expressed more support for the President-elect and wish him well
